WIP - WAVE SAFS________________________________________
01. 05/16/12
Between frustrating moments with the PKA Gustav trans, I've been having a go at Wave's SAFS.
Using Homo Ferratus' 1/3 SAFS as a guide, I detailed the suit. The latches on the boots and the hose clamps are solder wire flattened, cut to size and placed (thanks Andreas!). Additional recessed screw holes with my handy drill. I textured the armor plates with Mr. Surfacer 500.

Love the Wave kits because they're like a build vacation. Still the Nitto kits have a special place in my heart, but once in a while I need a break. :-p
Pulled some Pantone chips to determine a desert camo scheme which I now see was totally influenced by WWI allied aircraft, possibly French.
A few more washes to tone down the decals, some dusting and chipping filled then I'm calling it done.
Inspiration.
